Parental Guidance Today

Fighting, drugs, sex, pornography and the like have become familiar with the dynamics of the fact that the children of today. News of it was flooded in the incessant media. Of course, there are many children who excel. They are like an oasis in the midst of the current problems of juvenile delinquency.

When faced with two different poles that. You as a parent to choose which one? I do not think any parent would choose the first group. Father and mother whose children were already mired there was certainly want to move to the second group.
Educating children in today's really not an easy job. Need guidance and precise formulation of clear and focused. Various methods are adopted so that children have a positive character.
For the Muslims, is actually already available guidance timeless era. That "Parenting Nabawi" that rests on divine majesty verses, the prophet life examples companions of the Prophet, tabi'in, until the men of skill exemplary current season.
The teachings of the prophet so complete and perfect. To create a great generation, we supervised even start from choosing a mate. The process of choosing a mate who is part of a strategy Islamic prepare the next generation, because the child can only be born of righteous parents who worships.
Some key steps to educate children the way the prophet we will present in the next article. Starting from before marriage (preparing parents), to educate people, educate faith, worship educate, educate physically, to educate children about sexuality. There may be some parents who ask, is not that a reference to the past? Can it be applied to educate children in this modern era?
There is a good father and mother reflect on the advice of Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyah following:
"Those who deliberately do not teach what is beneficial to his son and left him alone, then he has committed a great crime. Damages in children mostly come from the parents who left them, and do not teach religious obligations and his Sunnah. these parents neglecting their childhood, so they are not able to be useful to themselves and not helpful to parents. There are some parents who denounced his son for being disobedient. denied the child 'Father, you also have disobeyed I as a child, so now I disobeyed your parents after you. "

Dialogue In The Parenting Role

Then, when the child reached (the age of serious) work together him, he said: "O my son! I saw in a dream that I sacrifice. Then think about what you think!" He replied: "O my father, do what ye are commanded thee, God willing, you will find me among those who are patient". (Ash-Shaffat: 102)

The above verse is a fragment of the events in the final seconds before the implementation of the slaughter of Ismail by his father, Prophet Ibrahim at God's command. Just imagine how tense Ibrahim at the time. Imagine also how Ismail while answering a question that was about to kill his father. Imagine the reaction of the mother, Siti Hajar who have bothered to raise their children alone (single parent), without her husband until nearly mature age, then suddenly came the husband to kill his son at God's command?
The atmosphere was definitely quiet, lonely, and stressful. It's okay to Ibrahim hiding his tension, but the words were out of his mouth definitely broken. Not only that, previously tested in the kink Ibrahim had to leave his wife, Siti Hajar and his son, Ishmael, in the valley of heaven, which does not promise any life there.
What makes Abraham rigid and motionless to execute commands outside the bounds of logic is that? First, Ibrahim has made God in the highest position in his life. For Ibrahim, and should be so for all the Muslims, God is everything. Love to God must be placed in the first and foremost.

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّهِ
"As for those who believe God's profound love for..." (Al-Baqarah 165)

Second, Abraham believed that God commands a heavy behind does not even make sense that there was more to the unknown. He believes if the command was executed certainly auspicious. God never commanded anything except be good for him, for his family, and for all mankind.
Confidence was evident, with rescue Siti Hajar and Ismail when left alone in the Sahara desert that has no vegetation whatsoever. For the second time, the belief was proven by Ibrahim Ismail rescued when slaughtered with Allah be replaced by a fat sheep.
Ibrahim perfect confidence that is what made the capital while conveying his intention to carry out the commands of God, slay his son. He prefers a laudable though very heavy, the dialogue cases can be very dangerous for the safety of their children. Ibrahim Salih believes that children would want to and are willing to accept the truth, even if very hard for her.
Actually, the order to slaughter Ismail can be done in various ways. Ibrahim free to choose any way, including secretly falling asleep when her son was killed instantly. However, Ibrahim chose a more knights. That tells his son, an understanding, and gives him confidence that all of the commandments certainly good ending. Ibrahim chose to dialogue in order to find out how his mental readiness, the depth of faith, as well as his sublime morality.

Not wrong, Ibrahim has received his soothing answers. Ismail said, "O my father! Implement the dictates of (Allah) upon you, God willing, you shall find me among those who are patient." Through this answer we know that faith is not less Ismail teens with his father, Ibrahim, who is much more mature. Through this event, Abraham received appreciation and praise of God.

"Congratulations peace for Ibrahim. Thus do We reward those who do good. Indeed, he was among Our servants who believe." (Ash-Shaffat 109-111)

Through these events we can take the lesson that education should best be done through a healthy dialogue. Parents and teachers should not impose his will to his children. It could be our children that we usually consider it better immaturity better, more faithful, more moral and more intelligent than ourselves, the parents and teachers.
Third, all the problems, no matter how, any urgent, can be solved by dialogue. The difference could be a very distant brought near the dialog. Any severe disputes can be resolved through dialogue. Wallahu a'lam bish-shawab.

EDUCATING CHILDREN HOW PROPHET

Before the popular parenting terms, the Prophet Muhammad has given attention as well as the example of how caring is good and right. If we are observant and want a little bothered to read the reference time, we will find many traditions associated with it. Prophet said, "Every baby born in a state of purity, the parents are responsible, whether the child will be Jewish, Zoroastrian or a Christian." (HR.Baihaqi). In another narration the Prophet also said: "Whoever has two children and cared for properly, they will cause the entry to heaven." This Hadith implies the importance of early education for children as a preparation for life in the future. Especially now that many found a bad influence on children. If the parents are not clever filtering information for children, then the children's mental breakdown just waiting for his time.
Islam does not teach violence, also prohibits abusive and violent parents do to their children. But that does not hit until the pain is still considered to be within normal limits, and therefore should not be used as an alternative punishment. For example, when the child was 7 years old, then parents should teach and get used to praying. If it has been 10 years and the child does not perform prayer, then parents should punish in a way that is not painful hit or hurt.
The teachings of Islam are very comprehensive providing the caring guidance or parenting children. In the case of breast milk for example, Islamic Shari'a set as children's rights, not the rights of the mother or the father. If a mother wants to break (not given) of breast milk to her child, it must be through a family council. In this case, the father was appointed a spokesperson and represent the interests of young children. Mom should not be for reasons syar'i cut breast-feeding. When finally forced to cut syar'i reason, the father shall find breast milk from another woman. Not by way of instant replacing breast milk with cow's milk.
Apparently a lot of parents who do not understand this simple matter. They follow only the caring ways and patterns that had been running in the general population, though not necessarily in accordance with Islamic law. Prophet has not been exemplary. One important thing: Parenting is not an instant way. Parents must be willing to take pains, sweating, even if the need to "bleed" if you want her deeds. There is no other way except to fight, earnest endeavor and spiritually. Including not stop praying for the safety, success, and glory of the children.
